Neslihan of Woven Legends was enthusiastically promoting the campaign to raise funds for the Anka Coop Project in Turkey. Currently, Woven Legends supports over 250 Syrian refugee women whom Neslihan started to teach to weaver in 2012. The objective is to train 20,000 women by 2020. Her display featured a video of the project as well as the rugs produced by the refugees.
My absolute favorite rug was a boldly colored Art Deco patterned rug woven on an Axminster loom. Neslihan prides herself that she uses the appropriate weaving technology for the pattern.
