Designer’s Desire was a very beautiful place to spend some time. Created by two brothers, Designer’s Desire is a boutique hand made knotted carpet company that traces its lineage back to 1925. Obaid Waziri, the fourth generation of his family to make carpets showed me these impressive carpets. All of these carpets have 25-32 colors in them, they are meant to invoke a painterly quality and they do. Going farther though they are using wool, silk, and jute with these carpets to create different sheens and textures so that have a layered look. Thanks Obaid!
