Social Responsibility: Our friends at Social Accountability International (SA8000) sent us this link to an International Labor Organization (ILO-NGO) video called “Fighting Child Labour in India’s Carpet Industry” (April 2012).
The video focuses on one company’s programs to eradicate child labor: zero tolerance and frequent (bi-weekly) random inspections of each of the more than 10,000 looms on which they hand knot rugs. Obeetee has been certified SA8000 since 2004.
