Capitol Earth Rugs is launching a new product in an experiment with a NEW heat set dyeing technique on stenciled braided rugs. The new C-357 burgundy star braided rug is the first of its kind. The technique of stenciling onto a braided rug is the first of its kind. The technique of stenciling onto a braided rug combined with heat setting the dye is an original concept. The braided rugs are first stenciled then placed on a belt that rotates through a pre-heated oven. designed to reach extremely high temperatures, whereby the carefully applied stencil colors become set. They now pass wet rub and dry rub testing.
Heat set dying preserves and protects the colors, not only of the original printed design but dyed yarns of the braided rug too. Capitol Earth Rugs began in 1980 offering a unique line of eco-friendly rugs made from 100% natural jute fiber.
