Jaipur Rugs Foundation (JRF) is a not-for-profit organization, registered under the Public Trust Act. Since its inception in 2004, JRF has been at the forefront of artisan development. Initiated as a dream by Mr. N K Chaudhary, today it has developed as a powerful poverty reduction model, weaving livelihood possibilities to provide sustainability at the grassroots level. It is specifically intended to reach the regions lacking resources and livelihood opportunities.
Poverty eradication, woman empowerment and rural development are the key areas being benefited through various programs (carpet weaving training, soft-skill training, health program, education program, etc.), and SHG formation. JRF has evolved 40,000 jobless people into the artisans and envisions growing as a family of 100,000 in coming years.
