Continued from Part 2.

One highly attractive room was the outdoor Lounging Porch by Francie Hargrove Interiors.

Items shown are perfectly suited for an outdoor Lounging Porch with a Lodge/Mountain style.

Francie turned this area into a cozy seating area with a dining table, overlooking the lake. She softened the space by using curtain panels in the corners of chocolate brown plaid Scalamandre fabric, together with a solid brown sofa nearby that had coral pillows and a brown braid. The fabric had been specifically treated to withstand outdoor elements — the mountain rains, with the possible later effects of mildew. The table was covered with attractive pewter accesories including staghorn flatware. One lovely touch was the small individual Perrier water bottles placed at each person’s seat.

The colorful Dash & Albert rug with a diamond pattern tied the room together nicely. Two other highly noticeable pieces were the chandelier and the custom-made antler console. The top was made from reclaimed wood and the bottom from antlers.  In speaking with her, Francie mentioned that she usually does just one showhouse a year. She also said that happily most of the accessories and other items had been sold from the porch. She did mention that “Outdoor spaces are becoming so popular.  They are becoming more and more extensions of  living spaces.”
